Malta has been inhabited by the human being since 8,000 years and the structure of the Neolithic temples can still be found in the south of the island of Malta. Malta has a rich cultural heritage which reflects the presence of the arrival of many foreign visitors like Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Roman, Arabs, Normans and Spanish.
It was home to the knights of St. John when the Turks were expanding their power into Europe. After restricting Turks from acquiring Malta in 1565, the Knights invested a lot on the islands by building magnificent walled city of Valletta. |

Due to significant position of the Malta, the British colonized it for next 160 years.
It witnessed the legacy of the year under the British rule.
There are many regular events such as In Guardia historical parades, and the Mdina and Valletta Festivals of mainstream and fringe arts with local and international performers.
It has become independent on September 21, 1964 and on 13th December of 1974, it was declared as republic.
The English language is very widely spoken over the entire Malta. The education system and civil services of the Malta are designed according to the British systems. The official religion of Malta is Catholicism and around 90% population is following it.
